Finally a SWIM DAY!!!

So on Wednesday I went outside to let the dog out & while I was waiting for him to do his duty I noticed how warm it was outside. I looked up in the sky & there wasn't a single cloud. I was so excited!! I went & got the pools out for the first time this summer. Then I called up my friend Hillary & invited her over for a Swim day!!

We had sooo much fun!!

Of course we even had to get out the crazy sprinkle hose. I love how Mack even holds his breath to run through the sprinkle.

Sweet little Pierce was so tired!! It was cute because we kept telling Mya to be quiet while the baby was sleeping. She would go up to Pierce put her finger to her mouth and try to make the shhh sound.

Happy Father's Day LADD!!!

We love you very much. I want my hubby to know that I do love & appreciate everything he does for our little family. He is also a GREAT dad. He is the "fun" parent and the kids absolutely adore him.

Weekend Fun!

We went to Twin Falls to visit uncle Wes & Danny!! We stayed with Dan & Brooke & as you can tell the boys had sooooo much fun playing together. They especially had fun in the sand box with the hose. When it was time to go the boys didn't want to leave each other. Mya also had fun with her cousin Presley.

Ladd gave Mya a Popsicle & she loved it. When she was done she was an orange sticky mess.

DiRtY ToiLeT??????

So Mack asked me today what the plan was for the day. He likes to know if we are having a play date or something fun like that. I told him we were probably just going to stay home because I needed to clean the house. His reply was a bit shocking. He said oh good, do you think you could clean my toilet because it is sooo dirty and then when you are done you should probably clean yours to. Can you believe that? I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing. Ladd is constantly teasing me about being OCD. I think maybe I am raising a clean freak!! Oh and when I didn't get around to actually cleaning the toilet for awhile he kept asking me about it and seemed very concerned about his "dirty" toilet. I still am trying to figure our if he is going to be OCD or if my toilet really was extremely dirty. What 4 year old boy is worried about his dirty house??

Mack got a new hair cut today!! Ladd said that I should try a mohawk hair-do. So I agreed to do the hair cut thinking I could just shave it off if it looked funny. According to Ladd it is not a true mohawk, but I actually kind of like it.

Funny story: We asked Mack if he wanted a mohawk hair do and he said yes. So we cut his hair and asked how he liked it, after looking in the mirror he said liked it, but he is disappointed because he thought we were going to go buy a real mo-hawk which is a bird that flies around (just in case you didn't now that.). Maybe when Mack moves out of the house he can own a real hawk!!
All day long Mack keeps trying to figure out the difference between a mohawk hair cut and a real hawk. He thinks we are silly for naming a hair cut after a bird.

GOOD NEWS!!

Mya is off the bottle!! Yah!! I know she is a little over a year old but with Mack, taking the bottle away was a nightmare, so I was a bit nervous to do it with Mya. Thursday I made up my mind that I was just going to take it away, so I went to the store bought some sippy's and as easy as that she is off the bottle. Wow!! I think taking away things that kids are attached to is harder on the parent, I am excited but sad because now she is not longer a "baby"!! After all this worrying it was so EASY!!! She has actually been eating better too. Since the bottle was an issue with Mack, he has been drinking out of sippy's here and there, but I told him that Mya needs his sippy's so along with buying some new sippy's for Mya I bought some "cool" cups for Mack. So as bad or good as this sounds Mack if finally drinking like a normal 4 year old boy would: out of a CUP!!

Anxious!!

I just want it to be summer so bad!! Can you tell by my new background?? One thing I do not like about this Idaho weather is one minute it is nice, warm and sunny then the next it is hailing golf ball size hail. I think now that it is June the rain and wind could die down, don't ya think? Maybe one day I could go on my "Dream vacation"

BBQ!!!

Saturday we invited our friends the Christiansens over for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun!! We had a great chicken dinner and then we roasted marshmallows for dessert. I found these marshmallows that were vanilla and caramel - they were yummy!! My parents gave us this little fire pit for Christmas, it was fun to finally be able to set it up and use it.

Mya absolutely loved the fire. She was completely content sitting in her chair stuffing her face with marshmallows and cookies. She actually sat still the whole night! She even helped Ladd roast some mallows!!
